Check in\/out times<\/h2>\n<p>Charter contract begins at 5 p.m. on the day of the charter and checkout is at 09:00 a.m. on the last day of the charter.<br \/>\nPlease note the yacht should be returned to the base a day before the end of the charter contract, latest at 6p.m. for check-out procedure (refueling of boat, diver inspection, technical inspection). The amount of time required for check-in and check-out procedures is considered to be part of the charter period, and your actual presence is required.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Sailing qualifications<\/h2>\n<p>According to the Greek law, the skipper must hold a valid sailing license in English language or translated in English.<br \/>\nLimitations such as daylight, inland waters and limitations in miles from shore e.g. 5NM in sailing licenses won\u2019t be accepted from Greek Port Authorities so we advise all charterers to ensure that they have an international license of competence (ICC) without such limitations.<\/p>\n<h2>4. Cancellation policy<\/h2>\n<p>In the event of cancellation of the charter by the Charterer, for any reason, the following cancellation policy will apply and depending on the time-interval between the booking confirmation and the cancellation date:<br \/>\n\u2022 Cancellation fee of 30% of the total charter fee, for bookings cancelled within a period of more than 60 days prior to boat embarkation.<br \/>\n\u2022 Cancellation fee of 50% of the total charter fee, for bookings cancelled within a period of 60-30 days prior to boat embarkation.<br \/>\n\u2022 Cancellation fee of 100% of the total fee, for bookings cancelled in a period less than 30 days prior to boat embarkation.<br \/>\n\u2022 In case that the yacht under cancellation is re-chartered to another charterer for the same period and under the same conditions, only the dossier expenses will be charged at \u20ac300, any difference in the charter fee and any other costs incurred.<\/p>\n<h2>5. Way of payment<\/h2>\n<p>\u2022 A 50% of the total charter fee is required as down payment, to book the boat.<br \/>\n\u2022 The remaining balance of 50% of the charter fee is payable four weeks (4) prior to embarkation, by bank transfer.<\/p>\n<h2>6. Warranty<\/h2>\n<p>A \u20ac3,000 refundable security deposit is required at the start of the charter against the possibility of loss, accident, damage or late delivery of the vessel. The amount is paid by credit card (Visa or Master) or cash and is returned upon completion of the charter.<\/p>\n<h2>7. Damage waiver \u2013 reduction of security deposit<\/h2>\n<p>Non refundable security insurance of \u20ac40\/day plus a refundable security deposit \u20ac500\/charter.<\/p>\n<h2>8. Damage deposit on skippered charters<\/h2>\n<p>On skippered charters, a damage waiver of a non refundable security insurance of \u20ac350\/charter plus a refundable security deposit of \u20ac600 is required. This covers any damage, loss, accident, equipment or third party.<\/p>\n<h2>9. Insurance<\/h2>\n<p>The boat is insured against all risks arising from liability to third parties and damages to hull, machinery, sea pollution liability and the equipment with a deductible (excess), which corresponds to the agreed security damage deposit paid by the charterer.<\/p>\n<h2>10. Charterer\u2019s responsibilities<\/h2>\n<p>According to the terms of the contract signed by the charterer, the charterer:<br \/>\n\u2022 Assumes the legal and statutory obligations of the person responsible on board.<br \/>\n\u2022 Certifies that he or she has the ability to sail and navigate the yacht.<br \/>\n\u2022 Should you wish to refresh your sailing and navigational abilities, we suggest you hire a skipper for a day or two. Please advise the office ahead of time to arrange this service.<br \/>\n\u2022 The client should verify the equipment on board with the aid of the inventory list which we will be giving to him\/her during the check-in. After the inventory he\/she will go through a technical briefing of the yacht.<br \/>\n\u2022 Charterer is responsible to re-deliver the yacht at the end of the charter at the same condition as he received her without any damage \/ loss.<br \/>\n\u2022 In case there is any technical issue\/claim during the cruise, our staff should be informed immediately and not at the end of the charter. In case we will be informed after the charter dates and client\u2019s disembarkation we may not be able to accept any responsibility.<\/p>\n<h2>11. Skipper\u2019s responsibilities<\/h2>\n<p>The skipper is responsible for the yacht. The skipper assumes the technical control of the yacht as well as your safety. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your skipper, please notify the office immediately. All of our skippers are fluent in English, highly qualified in safety and sailing.<\/p>\n<h2>12. Hostess\u2019 responsibilities<\/h2>\n<p>Prepares breakfast and lunch on daily basis and keeps clean the common areas of the yacht.<\/p>\n<h2>13. Cook\u2019s responsibilities<\/h2>\n<p>Prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner on daily basis and keeps clean the common areas of the yacht.<\/p>\n<h2>14. Crew change during the trip<\/h2>\n<p>The Greek law 4504\/2017 specifically requires that:<br \/>\n\u2022 Any crew changes must be foreseen on the initial charter party declared to the port authority before the charter starts clearly stating names \/ passport numbers \/ dates and ports of embarkation\/disembarkation.<br \/>\n\u2022 In the event of crew changes due to unforeseen circumstances skipper must immediately update crew list.<br \/>\n\u2022 In the event that more than 75% of crew members change (even if the same skipper remains aboard) the charter is terminated by law and mandatory declaration has to be made to the port authority.
